Not too far from Rifle, Colorado sits Rifle Falls.

During the Fall I visited Kebler Pass, just outside Crested Butte, Colorado. This was a very special spirit about this grove of aspen trees

In a remote area south of Illiama, Alaska sits Bob’s place…where all the bears live too.

I painted this “plein air” about 6am one morning…just as the sun was coming up.

I painted this “plein air” while on our river cruise. Budapest is a wonderful city to visit.

While I was sitting on the balcony of our cruise ship in Ketchican, Alaska, I saw these old buildings and peer.
“Iceland Farmhouse” – Size 11″x15″
When my daughter and I visited Iceland I couldn’t get over how peaceful and quiet the countryside is.

Super fun to paint. We walked down this long stairway and discovered this scene. I love it.
“”Tamworth in the Fall” – Size 11″x 15″
While visiting Tamworth, New Hampshire in the Fall. This stream is just a little bit west of the town center. I can still hear the acorns dropping from the trees into the stream.
“Whittier Lilly’s” – Size 11″x 15″
I painted this “plein air” just outside of Whittier, Alaska. The clouds were low and the lilly’s were everywhere.
“Women in Vietnam” – Size 11″x 15″
Women who labor to pick the rice are all over Vietnam. I love the reflections in the water.
“Hudson River Farm” – Size 11″x 15″
I painted this just along the Hudson River in New York. I loved the turning tree leaves and the shadows across the road.

While visiting Canon City, my sister, Judy, and I spotted this old farmhouse.
“Hudson River Farm and Lake”
This is another painting I did of an old farmhouse in the Hudson River Valley close to a town called, Greenville.

This was a fun picture t paint as my wife and I traveled to San Francisco. Alcatraz Island.

In the Fall I visited Tamworth, New Hampshire and spotted this old barn. What really struck me were the trees behind the buildings.
“Rice fields in SAPA” – 11″x19″
This may be one of my favorite paintings from my trip to VIetnam. This was a small village north of Sapa.
“Vietnam Breakfast” – 15″x 22″
I spotted this Vietnamese women early one morning selling all of these sea creatures. I’m surprised she could actually carry all this.
“Halong Bay” – 11″x 15″
In Long Ha, outside of Hanoi, is the beautiful limestone formations that are often photographed. I painted this quickly from the boat before the scene was gone.
“SAPA Village” – 15″x 22″
Another small village in Northern Vietnam close to Sapa. They owners were meticulous in keeping their property clean and organized.
“Fishing in Halong Bay” – 15″x 22″
While I was visiting Vietnam with my son, Nathan, I spotted this small wooden boat in Ha Long bay.
“Bob Cusack’s Place” – 15″x 22″
This was Bob Cusack’s lodge that he build 40 years ago. This is located just south of lake Iliamna, Alaska.
“South Platte River” – 15″x 22″
Fall along the South Platte river close to Aspen Grove. I always like paining close to there.
“The Pond at South Platte” – 11″x 15″
I painted this “plein air” one morning. I was intrigued by the fisherman on the far bank. I’m not sure if they caught anything but I had fun painting.
“Kinderdijk Windmill” – 11″x 15″
My wife and I visited Kinderdijk, Netherlands and I spotted this windmill and thought the water and reflections were awesome.
” Mt Sneffel’s in Fall” – 11″x 15″
This is Mt. Sneffel’s down by Ouray, Colorado. It was awesome to be able to paint outside and enjoy the cool October weather.
“Mt Sneffel’s Wilderness” – 15″x 22″
This is also down by Mt. Sneffel’s. I liked the long shadows int the forgound and all the color in the trees. This was a “plein air” painting.
“Mt Sneffel’s Get-A-Way” – 11″x 15″
This is another favorite. I was at about 10,000 feet elevation and was jealous of the view the owners of the house had. I painted this, “plein air”.
“Mt Sneffel’s 14er” – 11″x 15″
Another “plein air” painting of Mt. Sneffels. The grasses in the foreground waived in the slight breeze I felt.
“Mt Sneffel’s Sunset” – 11″x 15″
This is another favorite. The first night I was at Mt. Sneffel’s, as the son was setting, there was about 5 minutes of brilliant, golden beams lighting up the area just before me. I painted this over 5 days and spend about 5 minutes each day.
“Netherlands” – 15″x 11″
This is a painting from the Neatherlands. I always have liked the trees and vines in this painting.
“Carins Magic” – 11″x 15″
Standing outside our condo in Carins, Australia, I saw view each morning. It was marvelous and I had to paint it. I did so “plein air”.
“The Willows, Wyoming” – 11″x 15″
This is west of Casper Wyoming and is called, “The WIllows.”. The Sweetwater river winds slowly through the planes.
“Rotorua, New Zealand” – 11″x 15″
In Rotorua, New Zealand is this small lake with a wonderful turquoise color.
“Lake Lecurne , Switzerland” – 11″x 15″
While visiting Lake Lucerne, Switzerland, we walked across this bridge called Kapellbrücke (literally, Chapel Bridge).
“San Diego Harbor” – 11″x 15″
San Diego harbor is notorious for not only the warships but also the many, many sale boats.
“Iceland Homes” – 11″x 15″
One of my favorite memories of Iceland. Just behind this farmhouse were three hugh waterfalls.
“Hudson River Home” – 11″x 15″
One fall morning while visiting the Hudson River, I painted this plein air. The background was a bit misty. What would it be like to live there?
“Lake Lucerne, Switzerland” – 11″x 15″
Lake Lucerne is a beautiful lake. In the mornings the mist from the Alps would cover the lake and surrounding mountains. In the afternoon this is what I saw.
“Santa Barbara Courthouse” – 11″x 15″
I painted this plein air one hot afternoon. The old big clock on the tower above me would constantly remind me of the time.
“Iceland Waterfall” – 11″x 15″
Iceland is a marvelous place to visit. This was the most interesting of waterfalls as it is surrounded by the basalt rocks on each side.
